I wanted to send my best wishes to you and everybody celebrating at this evenings Midland Curry awards.

The Midlands is known right across Britain and the world for the quality of its curies and I do not envy the judges in having to select the best in such a strong field.

The contribution of Indian-owned businesses to our shared prosperity is immense. You have changed British cuisine for the better and forever and I pay tribute to you all for your tremendous contribution to our national life.
